The Cellular Regulation and Pathology Center (CRCP) and of the Aging and Regeneration Center (CARE) director, arrived at 6.00 in the evening to Adolfo Ibáñez University, to take part in the extension course: "Current Trends in Science and Technology ", organized by the university.
Until November 24 will develop a total of eight lectures that will be dictated every day by out-standing scientists in disciplines like, Seismology, Neurobiology, Economy
The course has been defined by their organizers as an invitation to think about the ideas, technologies, science and paradigms that today are of interest and concern the world, and the impact that they will have in Chile, and is directed for a general public with a common interest for this knowledge area.
The course will be developed every Monday, during October and November. It began on October 6, with the presentation of his Director, Dr. Eric Goles. The Engineering and Sciences faculty teacher of the Adolfo Ibáñez University and Exact Sciences National awardwinner, dictated the lecture "Mathematics, complex systems and XXXX decisions".
Then it was Dr. Carlos Silva turn, teacher and Energy Innovation Center Director in the Adolfo Ibáñez University, who made a presentation titled "Non conventional renewable Energies and their potential in Chile". Later, Dra. Diana Comte, Physical Sciences and Mathematics Faculty teacher of the University of Chile, dictated the lecture: "Earthquakes: uses and abuses".
The person in charge of closing the presentations first cycle was newly renowned 2008 Natural Sciences National Prize, Dr. Nibaldo Inestrosa, who on Monday October 27, performed a lecture on Alzheimer and his work in the subject.
This Monday November 3, with the lecture "Artificial Intelligence and the Web ", the Engineering and Sciences Faculty teacher of the Adolfo Ibáñez University, Dr. Carlos Hurtado, gave start to the second course module. Then will continue Dr. Sergio Rica, CNRS of France researcher, who will talk about: "Laws, paces and patterns in nature and society". Follows Dr. Carlos Rodriguez, Post degree teacher and Director, Sociology Institute, Catholic Pontifical Universidad of Chile with the exhibition: "Confidence, morality and the social order". Finally, on Monday November 24, Dr. Carlos Osorio, Innovation Master teacher and Academic Director, of the University Adolfo Ibáñez, finishes the cycle with the lecture: "Science, technology, business and innovation".
